It is essential that as manufacturers and as a family business, we understand how what we do today will impact the world our children live in tomorrow.
We are committed to protecting the environment, the health and safety of our employees, and the community in which we conduct our business. It is our policy to seek continual improvement throughout our business operations to lessen our impact on the local and global environment. We are committed to environmental control and pollution prevention, meeting or exceeding applicable environmental regulatory requirements. We strive, where feasible, to purchase environmentally preferable materials and services to meet the company’s operational needs. We will also favour suppliers who strive to improve their environmental performance, provide environmentally preferable products, and who can document the supply chain impacts of their efforts.
Our purchasing decisions will favour products that:
Copper and Aluminium are our most used materials here at Beehive. Both metals can be infinitely recycled without losing the superior properties of the virgin metals. Our main suppliers of these materials and other metals are using increasingly recycled metals in their factories, with one supplier due to be using 100% recycled copper by 2026 and another supplier already using 100% recycled copper right now. Giving a 99.95%+ purity of the highest grade at a third of the carbon footprint. This 100% recycled copper can be specifically requested for your project at the time of placing an order with us.
We are always continuing trials of new materials and are finding some that provide the same quality copper/fin stock that will work the same way in our machines and for our customers in the final products.
All our products can be recycled once they have served their purpose (and if looked after, they will do for many years!) this ‘circular recycling’ helps to keep these metals in use again and again. All our metal waste is of course, recycled. Our packaging is also highly recyclable by using wood pallets/boarding, metal corner protectors, shrink wrap and we will be introducing white plastic protection boards in the near future instead of the current black boards as this is not recyclable yet due to the machinery used at the waste sites.
Environmentally preferable products and services that are comparable in quality to their standard counterparts will receive a purchasing preference. Environmentally Preferable Purchasing is part of our long-term commitment to the environment.

Brilliant. British. Beehive.
Water coils are the most straight forward heat exchanger we manufacture but also have the widest variety of uses as chilled water, low pressure hot water (LPHW) units, fan coils, heaters, chilled beams (with or without heating circuits), glycol coils and many more different applications.
Whether the brief is for comfort cooling, specialist multi-stage DX systems or industrial/commercial projects - we can help by selecting units to meet a wide range of temperatures from HVAC to low temperature freezing applications.
Condensing is the act, or practice, of condensation in any form. Condensation is the change of the physical state of matter from gaseous phase into liquid phase, and is the reverse of evaporating.
A chilled beam is a type of convection HVAC system designed to heat or cool large buildings or office spaces. Beehive design and produce two types of chilled beam coils - passive or active.
We have extensive experience in manufacturing CO2 Evaporator coils of all types and have been doing so for many years. We can assist with design of your coil to ensure it meets the latest BS EN 378 requirements whether you have a sub or trans-critical CO2 system.
The Beehive ALPHA range is our most popular enclosure, which gives an excellent product with great value for money. This range has a wide variety of options on fin material, fan types and ecconomy model versions giving you the best choice at great value.
Steam coils are used in both industrial and HVAC applications and are used to heat air when steam is available. Finned tubes are almost always used in steam coil applications and this type of coil makes use of the latent heat that is released by the steam when it condenses so it is a very effective way of heating air.
The Beehive BETA and DELTA ranges are based on a slimline footprint but still with a condenser coil and plant section area. Removeable panels ensure simple & immediate access to the internal sections.
The Beehive Gamma units are the latest addition to our CEU ranges. They are optimum performance, super-efficiant enclosures designed to meet the highest of standards.
As well as the standard enclosure ranges and coils we manufacture, we understand that you still may need something different which is why we now offer a bespoke design service tailored to meet your requirements.
All of our units are manufactured to the current PED standards and supplied with a comprehensive warranty and we are also proud to hold the latest ISO 9001:2015 accreditation - enhancing both the quality of our service as well as our products.
