Welcome to our Frontline products page. This page highlights our standard product lines and various options we can offer during production to enhance the quality and working capabilities of our coils.
Beehive can design a product from scratch using our specialised in-house design team to give the best results. This means we can follow a job from its first inception to delivery of the completed unit - giving our customer the best overall control of the project.
We can produce coils in copper tubing (for good heat transfer and workability purposes) in either 3/8" OD (9.5 MM), ½" OD (12.7 MM) or 5/8" OD (15.9 MM) tube. We also offer an enhanced copper tubing variant for the 3/8" and ½" OD sizes giving significant improved duty in most cases.
Recently, we have made several advances and improvements to fin material used on our coils and now have 6 different materials in our product ranges.
| |
Standard plain aluminium fin - used on most evaporator/condenser or water coil units, gives good heat transfer as a secondary surface and can also be supplied as coated |
| |
Gold colour coated aluminium fin - for use in reasonably harsh atmospheres, swimming pool areas or roof top enclosures, for example |
| |
Grey colour coated aluminium fin - for use on external units. Our grey coated fin comes with extra U.V. protection if the coil face is to be used in direct sunlight |
| |
Black colour coated aluminium fin - for use in internal units where the coil may be visible. A black coated fin helps to hide the fins if the face is in sight. This gives the completed unit a stylish look and fits well into office environments where the unit must be hidden |
| |
Hydrophilic coated aluminium fin - our new fin material is specifically designed to help moisture to run off the fin face faster, this therefore can reduce the risk of the unit's fins 'icing-up' in use and aids economy over the long term. Our hydrophilic fin uses a colourless additive applied to the fin material when originally produced |
| |
Plain copper fin - this is the original material which was used on nearly all secondary surfaces 50 years ago to give the best possible performance. This is still available where essential, but has largely been replaced by aluminium in efforts to achieve economy. Plain copper is currently used on specialised products in harsh atmospheres or to give the ultimate performance levels from a coil |
We produce DX evaporator coils, condensers, water coils, fan coil units and much more. We can also manufacture steam coils up to a maximum pressure of 2-3 BAR. Production can assemble and produce coils up to around 7 meters (23 ft) in length, split units, sub-coolers and more (see our Bespoke Product page for more information).
